The Founders

Christopher Clyne
Owner / Chief Technical Officer

Chris Clyne is a human Swiss Army knife of VFX skills, and technical problem solving. As a kid in Seattle, Chris started out hacking his favorite Applc IIc games and drawing panels from his favorite Batman and Uncanny X-Men comics. He finally found a way to fuse his artistic and technical sides when did his post-graduate work at Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Los Angeles and discovered the world of artistically-driven VFX. His VFX skills were forged in the fires at legendary production studios such as Motion Theory and MPC LA for clients like Disney, HP, and Lexus and Coca Cola.

After years in the VFX trenches, Chris decided there had to be a better way. He decided to use his experience to co-found StarBeast with the idea of working smarter, not harder.

Nick Losq
Owner / Executive Creative Producer

Nick grew up as a skateboarder in Palo Alto with a rigorous diet of SciFi, Fantasy, Monster B-Movies and comics from all over the land. He landed as a VFX mercenary in Los Angeles for companies like Motion Theory and MPC and found immense satisfaction in a field where his artistic skills could truly be battle-hardened. This led to his becoming a director and a winning a few select industry awards along the way.

As the Founder & Chief Creative Officer at StarBeast, Nick thrives on pushing the boundaries of digital technique to create visual stories that draw audiences in. He’s honored to have worked on campaigns for clients including Disney, ESPN, Vox Media, Blizzard, Overwatch League, Anheuser-Busch, Nike, Acura, Honda, Guinness, HP and more.
